COURSE OVERVIEW:
The Ministry of the Shepherd is a theological and formational course that immerses students in the biblical, Christ-centered vision of shepherding as the heart of ministry.
Drawing from Psalm 23, the prophetic witness of Scripture, and Jesus’ declaration “I am the Good Shepherd,” this course forms ministers to embody pastoral care as a sacred trust—rooted in Scripture, sustained by the presence of the Holy Spirit, and accountable to the Church.
Students will be shaped to minister healing, guidance, reconciliation, and nurture through faithful presence, disciplined listening, and spiritual discernment, learning not merely to lead God’s people, but to walk with them until Christ is formed in their lives and the fullness of God’s redemptive purpose is revealed.
