Our Founders
Our Founders

Bishop Frank Otha White, DST, DD
Dr. Juliet L. White, DST
Dr. Frank White, at his side Dr. Juliet White, inspired by their mutual momentum to provide a solid, higher Biblical education, founded the O. M. Kelly Religious Training Institute as a premiere act upon his ascension to the Pastorate of the Church of God in Christ Little Zion, Freeport, New York in 1974. The objective was clear: The Religious Training would be both accessible and affordable.
As the Institute began to expand and flourish, satellite locations were established across Long Island and the boroughs of New York City. Its bold mission to promulgate and perpetuate the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, resonated with laity, leadership at every level and aspiring clergy in training. One of the most vibrant and consistent features of the Institute's enrollment demographic is its denominational diversity, bringing together a rich community of perspectives to engage critically in our warm classroom settings.
The elevation of Dr. Frank White to the Prelacy of the New York Eastern Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in 1988 chronicled two subsequent achievements: The appointment of Dr. Juliet White to the Presidency of the Institute and the memorialization of the late Bishop F. D. Washington and Bishop C. H. Mason in renaming the Institute the Mason Kelly Washington (MKW) Religious Training Institute.
Under Dr. Juliet White's Presidency, a passionate thrust for the training of instructors was set forth. Her initiation of the School's official motto: "Knowledge is Power, When Applied" has drawn to the Institute widespread recognition for the depth, substance, content and reliability of its learning materials and methodologies.
In 1998, Dr. Juliet White solemnized the departure of Bishop White in renaming the School the Mason Kelly Washington White Religious Training Institute. In the season which followed the pandemic of 2020-2022, Dr. White guided the Institute through the adventure of transferring our courses to the digital platform, enabling both the academic and geographical expansion of Biblical learning opportunities.
Today, building upon our Founders' distinguished legacy, despite the social and cultural climate and its threats to dismiss the authority of God's Word, we are poised academically to realize international impact. MKWW, therefore, stands tall as a viable and respected Religious Training Institute comprised of a thriving student body educated, equipped and empowered to launch out into the deep and deliver the rightly divided Word of God to all nations.
