This course introduces the learner to the conceptual framework and application of Christian Counseling. Christian counseling is a faith-based practice grounded in the Holy Scriptures and the teachings of Jesus Christ. The philosophy of Christian Counseling embraces the principles that spiritual power emanating from the Kingdom of God will overcome secular problems. The intermediate to advanced level Christian Counseling course curriculum, is Biblical, Proven, Practical, and Comprehensive. The content emphasizes the dynamics of thoughts, actions, and feelings and provides a framework for the learner to advance knowledge of the psychology of behaviors via the ministry lens of man as a tri-part being.
The learning platform includes a biblical concordance, use of PowerPoint, and didactic teaching methods. As an outcome of the student’s active engagement in the course modules, each learner will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to provide faith-based counseling superimposed with the sustaining word of God.
