GOVERNMENT & SOCIAL POLICY

(ONE SEMESTER COURSE)

Course Offered Virtually
Prof. Shelley Brazley, Instructor

October 10, 2024 - January 27, 2025

Description

This course will explore the complexities of our deeply divided political landscape through critical analysis and biblical principles. We will follow the unfolding Presidential Election through a biblical lens to equip students with insight to analyze the debates,
current events as they unfold, election results and ultimately the
2025 Presidential Inauguration.

The class will actively engage in dialogue that will encourage us to search the scriptures to reveal how JESUS teaches us to think and address racism, economic exploitation, homophobia and heterosexism, immigration, criminal justice, health care, and so much more.

This class empowers students to become change agents and strategic, spirit led, social justice advocates.
